The oldest light bulb in the world has been burning for 120 years in a fire station in California. It's a gift to the station from a local power plant so that kerosene lamps didn't have to be lit when the night alarm rang. Visit their webcam at:

The need for technical systems to function without interruption also e.g. in hazard areas, unreachable locations or under extreme temperatures in the Antarctic is an important factor regarding Elstein products.
